The Staithes Festival of Arts and Heritage is now in its fourth year and has established itself as one of the most relaxed, friendly, must-go-to events in the regional arts calendar. During the Festival weekend, some 100+ cottages open their doors and become temporary art galleries in a unique selling exhibition. There are currently some 30 artists resident in the village, but the Festival is open to all artists of all abilities and attracts both professional and amateur artists from all over the country.
Helen Kippax, alongside Lone Helliwell (textiles), Christopher Helliwell (green woodwork) and Claude Frere Smith (ceramics), will be showing work at The Captain Cook Inn, from Saturday 12th – Sunday 13th September 2015.
There will be a open evening on Friday 11th September from 7pm – 9pm – all are welcome.
